STEPHEN TAYLOR HAS UP THE AUDIO OF THE NDP CONFERENCE CALL - [ and this is what the country gets - Layton and Dion - listen to people who have betrayed Canadian voters - think they know better, and so flippantly.] source:djxtreme-seashell.blogspot.com/2008/12/stephen-taylor-blog—

If we are to believe what is coming out of the press this weekend, we Canadians have been “HAD”. Every member of parliament nodded their heads and looked sincere in saying we should all work together to make this parliament work. All the while the NDP and the Bloc have been in “PLOT MODE BEHIND THE SCENES”. The Bloc looking particularly innocent while in front of the cameras, but still having one foot in the liberal trench and the other firmly in the NDP trenchline. It is interesting what the “scent of blood” can do to people and how far they will go with it.

Mr. Layton is no surprise at all. I recall in the early days of the 2006 parliament, a news person reporting the words of glee of Mr. Layton as he encouraged his membership to do anything they could to “get them”, especially in committees. Them being the Conservatives. Dangling a carrot in front of the dysfunctional power hungry liberals was what put this all over the top to what we are witnessing today.

As you can see then, it is not just the Liberals who are power hungry. We have the NDP who scream but really do not mean it. It’s whatever is good for them at the time.

If you review a bit about Mr. Layton in 2005 and 2006 you can see an opportunist at work. It shows that words mean nothing and that his intent and ruthlessness know no bounds. I wonder how well his Danforth Avenue voters really know him and his true intent.

With my NDP colleagues, I pledge to you to do everything we can do to clean up the politics of Liberal scandals and to restore Canadian Democracy to its rightful place.

April 25th, 2005:

Jack Layton is trying to negotiate the excision of the $4.6 billion corporate tax cut with Prime Minister Paul Martin. Cut those corporate taxes or lose NDP support on the budget vote (a vote of confidence), Martin has been told by Layton.

In response to the US’s refusal to abide by a NAFTA panel’s decision in favor of the Canadian softwood lumber industry, Jack Layton (and others) have suggested retaliating by putting an export tax on oil and gas.

NDP Leader Jack Layton says his party is no longer in bed with the federal Liberal government.

Instead of forging a united parliamentary opposition to Stephen Harper on climate change, the NDP plays its own game, whose cynical goal is all-too-obvious. The NDP hopes to make Harper look better than he really is, and wants to make the Liberals look worse than they are now prepared to be. This has everything to do with setting the stage for Jack Layton’s next election campaign and nothing to do with achieving real action on climate change.

So along comes Jack Layton to ease Stephen Harper’s pain. He meets with the prime minister, declares victory and today he fails to show up with Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe and Interim Liberal Leader Bill Graham at a joint news conference to condemn the Conservatives for their disgraceful environmental policy.

And quite recently there was this.

And, Jack Layton, always available

IT IS AMAZING TO ME THAT THE NDP, BLOC AND THE LIBERALS THINK THEY KNOW BETTER THAN THE VOTERS OF CANADA. What is extremely sad is that this coalition believes they know best. Only they know how to save Canada. It makes one wonder when the men in white coats should come calling….
