Thank you, should be a handy list. Question, I want to find out how much the Governor General cost the taxpayers for 2007 and YTD 2008. I will need to submit a request for information under the Access to Information however, would you have an opinion as to which ministry would likely be the appropriate source. I’m thinking the Treasury Board based upon a small amount of research but based upon your expertise, you may have an accurate opinion that could save me time. Thanks again. http://www.ballounpost.com

I have looked around a bit and really, I have no idea. I have read a few of your posts that showed up in my search. The Governor-General before her was criticized for expenses too as you may well remember. She is not a regular Canadian while in this office and the security aspect I can understand. A large amount of her function is to be an ambassador which involves travel. It is to be hoped that she, along with other government participants will keep in mind the dire need for expenditure control. I see it coming in a big way. Have seen a few hints already.
