There are still tremendous challenges for our troops in Afghanistan. A new coalition government within Pakistan, with reports coming out that some area leaders want to negotiate with the taliban. But how willing would the taliban be when their aim is to ignore the government proper there and set up their own. It gets tricky and confusing. Nato can always use more help. There are countries that sit on the sidelines. Step up to the plate. Commit.
I believe that all countries involved in Afghanistan right now are mixing up their activities to make sure it is balanced into rebuilding and training and not all combat.
More communication is needed amongst all countries involved in the region.
More agreements fashioned as to present day situations.
More sharing of information amongst each other, for the common gain of all.
Canada has stepped up to the plate often. The troops need our understanding and support as they await the arrival of more equipment and fresh rotations.
